A seal pup that was discovered on the streets of New Haven is being handled for pneumonia and gastrointestinal points.
The Mystic Aquarium stated the seal, now often called Chappy, began displaying indicators of weak point on Tuesday. He is presently within the animal rescue clinic and is being handled by veterinarians.
The aquarium stated younger seal pups are extra vulnerable to infections as their immune system hasn’t reached its full power.
“Our rescue team is currently providing world-class care to him,” the aquarium stated in an announcement. “Join us in sending good vibes for Chappy.”
