Intoxicated NY day care employee passes out whereas caring for infants: police

A day care employee was arrested and is dealing with costs after she allegedly handed out whereas inebriated and/or medicine whereas caring for infants, police stated.

Thirty-eight-year-old Maria Rubino allegedly fainted at a day care on Deer Park Avenue in Babylon, Lengthy Island, on Monday at round 12:40 p.m. After being transported to Good Samaritan College Hospital in West Islip, the place she was being handled, a Babylon Hearth Division paramedic allegedly smelled alcohol on Rubino’s breath and witnesses indicators of intoxication by both medicine and/or alcohol, based on the Suffolk County Police Division.

Rubino was accountable for caring for infants ages 4 months to 18 months previous, police stated, including that she was not the one worker assigned to her day care room.

Little one Protecting Companies have been notified and an investigation was began.

Rubino, of Nice Neck, was charged with 5 counts of endangering the welfare of a kid. She shall be arraigned at First District Court docket in Central Islip on a later date.
