One dwell grenade and one disabled grenade have been discovered inside hours in two separate locations in Norwalk on Monday.
Officers have been first referred to as to a house on St. Mary’s Lane round 10:20 a.m. the place a resident reportedly discovered a grenade on the aspect of the street.
Later that day, officers responded to a house on Wolfpit Avenue after a grenade was discovered within the yard of the property round 3:30 p.m.
Throughout each incidents, police secured the areas and the Stamford Police Division Bomb Squad was notified and assisted.
In keeping with authorities, the grenade discovered on St. Mary’s Lane was disabled and inert whereas the grenade discovered on Wolfpit Avenue was dwell. It was safely eliminated by the bomb squad.
A Norwalk Police Division Explosive Detection Canine and his handler performed a sweep of the encompassing space and police stated no further units have been discovered.
